The Coming Exaflood
Bret Swanson, Senior Fellow and Director of the Center for Global Innovation at The Progress & Freedom Foundation, will discuss the coming exaflood at talk the future® 2008.
Exaflood refers to the rapidly increasing torrent of data transmitted over the Internet. The amount of information people upload, download and share on the Internet is growing (due in large part to video, audio and photo applications), at an exponential rate while the capacity of the Internet, its bandwidth, is limited and susceptible to a “flood” of data equal to multiple exabytes.
"Expanding bandwidth and truly mobile computers are driving an 'exaflood' of rich new applications and services, served up from the cloud and available anywhere, anytime," says Bret Swanson, who will discuss the coming exaflood on September 5th at talk the future® 2008.
Meet Bret Swanson on September 5th, 2008, 11:30 p.m: The Coming Exaflood: Exaflood in mobile business, mobile life and mobile applications
